Can i open a bank account for my sister?

my sister is 16 and i would ike to open a bank account for her or a joint one with mine is that possible? i have an account with wells fargo fyi. thanks

If you are over 18 then you can help your sister open a bank account. Just understand that in doing so, you are taking responsibility if she scews up & drains the account & runs up a lot of fees

I would help her to open an account. If you do a joint account, you do not mix any of your money in that account. You keep your money separate from her money. It makes you too vulnerable. Mixing your money w/ hers puts you at risk for losing your money on top of any risks you are taking w/ your credit rating.

Also make sure you monitor her account to make sure she's managing her funds correctly.

Over age 18 is allowing for bank account. So you could not be open a bank account.

if in USA , u a minor can not open an account.

your sister , 18 or older, can not open an account
with u.

your parents can open a minors account for u.

ask your parents for help
