There ARE some bank branches open on sunday. Depends on where you are. And it depends on who you bank with.
A quick search, for example on the CIBC in Toronto, yielded 22 branches with sunday hours.

Did not find any Scotiabank or TD Canada Trust branches open on sundays.
You'd need to search the home pages of those banks to find one near you.

Banks open on a Sunday in Canada! Who knew! All the ATM's at the banks are accessible 24/7 so you can get your money and pay bills, make deposits. I wonder what the banks actually call open, because 22 branches in Toronto is a significant number and yet I have no idea where any might be.
Actually, a number of banks are open on Sundays though not all branches of any given bank are. A lot depends on where you live. Bank machines are 24/7 so if you need to get access to your account, then you should be fine.
