I am heading to Outer Banks at the end of the week... do you have any sugestions on some fun things to do ...While down there? I wanted to rend some dune buggys but an having trouble finding a place. Has anyone been here? I believe we are going to Nags Head. And suggestions would be greatley appreciated! |
Hello, I temporarily live in Avon, NC, which is about 50 minutes south of Nags Head. There is a lot of fun things to in Nags Head and Kitty Hawk. Dune Buggys are fun but expensive for the day. I suggest renting a jet ski to take around the sound. I know a lot of great places to eat like goombays and jolly roger. On Old Beach Rd there is a great milkshake place called John's.......Its really good. If you feel like traveling then you should go down to Buxton to swim by Cape Hatteras lighthouse. The beach is really nice down there and you can get a lot of great beach shots with the lighthouse right behind. There are a lot of secret spots to go to that are really fun. If you really feel like traveling then you should go down to Ocracoke. You take a 45 minute ferry ride to get there but it is well worth it.
