Um, that defines what a bank does. You give a bank money, it loans it out. And NO, that is NOT what caused the Great Depression.
Too many in politics have very short memories, and still have NOT learned from past mistakes.
no what caused it was the banks being FORCED by federal banking commission to modify the loaning regs to increase minority home ownership by 50% they did what the federal government REQUIRED them to do.
Why? So the benefits of deregulation could trickle down upon all of us, of course.
