What is the minimum age limit for opening a personal bank account in Ontario?I will start university in Canada (Hamilton, Ontario to be precise) in September and I am 17 years old. What should I do if I am not old enough to open a bank account yet ? |
I opened mine when i was 13 but thats in vancouver British Columbia. Still, i opened it with CIBC who obviously opperates in Ontario as well. Logic dictates that you could open a bank account now since CIBC wouldnt be stupid enough to implement diffrent ages for each province (eccept perhaps quebec, but thats a diffrent story).
