Ridiculous huh?The sensible thing would have been to negotiate this during the bailout.When they attempted to stop the bonuses some executives threatened legal action and it appears they have to let it go.I'm closing an account I have with them tomorrow in protest.
The AIB is one the Rothschild cartel the 'Inter-Alpha Group' which has been the prime recipient of all the bank outs across Europe and the north american versions have been in the US.

There is nothing just or fair about this whole bail-out scheme.

Best advice: Try to stay away from personal debt of any description and align yourself with an organisation, either thru voluntary or paid position, that works to alleviate some of the worst effects on the poorest and most vulnerable in our society.
In case you hadn't guessed it, the West can no longer afford social welfare. We're moving back to the old days of self-reliance and philanthropists.

I thought it was 40 million, The bank afraid of someone taking them to court it make one wonder are we missing something here. If they were forced by a court to pay the guys would the Bond holders say no and just go to court to close the bank.
Liquidate the bank and the jobs and the bonuses.
