It's not heated, except by the sun during the day.
In spring it will be chilly, but you can swim if you like.
I don't think it is ever closed.
There are no films shown there.

It would be too cold for me in early Spring but once the heat really hits, it hits hard!!! At the moment it is winter and the water would be about 12 degrees C at night time. I would prefer the temperature to be more above 20 degrees before I went for a swim..........
It depends what country you come from and what weather you are used to....
I don't think the South Bank beach is ever officially closed.......
FYI you can't bathe in public swimming pools. We bathe in a bath or shower in our own home in Australia.
