8 bank holidays switched to dates roughly equivalent to the solstices & equinoxes, and quarter days? so that the year has a nice symetrical logical scientific basis to it, that would [for the purposes of marking time] divide the year neatly into four equidistant quarters [and eigths]? .....21...

I would far rather have the bank holidays in spring/summer where it is warm enough to enjoy them. We have the Christmas holidays in December and New Year's day in the winter and that is enough! At least if we have days off when it is warm, there is more chance of being able to get out and enjoy them.

June 15th Magna Charta Day

But it won't happen because that would infer that it was superior to the European Law on Human Rights, which it is.

NO - I HATE all Bank/Public Holidays as it stops me doing what I enjoy the most which is WORKING.
