I dont have a bank account to cash my tax refund check, where can I go for cheaper to cash it in MN?my refund is over $3000.00 and the bank the check is issued by does not exist in MN. So I want to know where I can go in the mN Metro area to cash the check for a smaller amount with out having a bank account. |
tax refund checks issued by the US government can be cashed at any bank with a national charter -- assuming you have good picture ID.

any bank with 'national' in their name, even in the tag line, has a national charter. [Example: Bank of America, National Trust and Savings Association <-- this is a national bank.]
Walmart will cash refund checks if you have id. Usually many retail outlets will - they hope you'll spend your refund, or at least part of it, in their store.
