Hey everyone, I owe the CA board of equalization 1,233 dollars of taxes from a few years back. A few months ago, I came to an agreement with one of the collectors there for an installment plan. I paid around 200 dollars a month and this past month, I could not pay the monthly fee because I got laid off…as a result,...

When you default on a payment plan, an automatic levy is pretty much standard procedure.

Most B of E debts are for trust fund monies and the state will resort to the levy almost immediately if you don't notify them IN ADVANCE of the due date of your inability to pay.

They seem to be able to do just about anything to anybody at anytime and so on. Don't open any more bank accounts; just use cash.
