Harry Von Zell, was a radio announcer during the 40's and
50's, and also was a co star in the George Burns and Gracie
Allen Show on tv, when I used to see them together. He played their 'straight man' and was always serious. Though
I think he even managed to get a laugh occasionally. Gracie
would feed her lines off to him and he would look at her and
wonder, at times. It was more like a half baked side glance
when pondering what she'd just said.
Brace Beemer was the radio Lone Ranger. I didn't know
his name until several years ago from my husband who has
a good memory for early radio and tv. And yet, he often for-
gets what he went to the store to get. And comes home with
other things.
And Froggie, bless your memory. I loved that show when
I was little. I wore Buster Brown shoes, but I don't remember
for sure what the name of that program was. I am thinking it
was called, "Let's Pretend". I remember, "Big John and
Sparky". And I thought John had a frog on the end of his
piano he'd sit at. I thought that Froggie the Gremlin was on
his show. Now I wonder what the name of that program was.
Since they were probably two different shows. Thanks for
reminding me about Froggy.

Harry was a radio announcer. (For years I thought it was BONZELL, but I was a kid, what do ya 'spect?) I heard a story about when he introduced President Hoover, he said, "Ladies and gentlemen, the President of the United States, Hoobert Heever." I don't know if that's true or not.
Brace...? not sure
Froggie was on the BUSTER BROWN SHOW! ("Plunk your magic twanger, Froggie!)
