Does the island below the Outer Banks have a name?

Me and my girlfriend are going to randanthe for vacation. I ordered an outer banks restaraunt guide, but it seems to cover mostly nags head, kitty hawk and stuff up there. I am trying to find a physical guide about the restraunts/shopping down around hatteras, avon, buxton, salvo but all i seem to find are guides...

The Outer Banks isn't just one island. It's several islands.

Most of the guide is going to cover Nags Head, Kitty Hawk, and that area because that is where most of the businesses are located. Once you head down towards Hatteras, there isn't much going on.
