Yes, if the debit card has a VISA or MasterCard log o its face it will work where bank wherever cards are accepted. You must have funds on deposit, and there are spending limits, but you should be o.k.
When you use your card they will ask 'debit or credit'? Always tell them crdit, this tells them to rund it a a charge rather than debit to your checking. IT WILL STILL COME OUT PF YOUR ACCOUNT THE SAME! The advantage is that you do not have to put in your PIN number, which avoids possible theft.
Whenever you put in your PIN number, be it at an ATM, Gas Station, or even the market ALWAYS screen the pin pad from both prying eyes and cameras! It can save you a big problems!
