Can a bank legally charge six overdraft/non sufficient funds charges for four overdrafts?

four small things overdrafted in my account at national city bank and i got charged six fees and 8 dollars a day since two weeks ago. and the worst part is the order they take things out of the account. i noticed its not in the order i spent it but from largest to smallest in order to aquire the most amount of...

Overdrafts are rarely, the bank's fault. I do admit, sometimes they could make a mistake, the computer may mispost something, etc.

From what I have read here, it seems you have been irresponsible with your account, and have not kept a transaction register on what you have spent.

I suggest stop spending until you can get your account under control.

well each bank is different, but my bank is 1 charge for the overdraft, and if don't pay its a called a non sufficient funds charge. your bank might charge you twice, one for the over draft, then again one for nothing enough money in there and using the overdraft. stupid, i know, but it happens

call them and ask, money is money and now those items cost more money. act like your just calling for information if you don't want them to know who you are.

banks are all differant but i would find a new bank if i were you chase doesnt charge daily fees and they are a good bank
