Working with bank for 4yrs 9months resigned in sep wwth 3mnths notice can i get gratuity from the bank?

working with a co-op bank since oct 2001 resignation given on sep'2006 with 3 monhs notice my term end in dec'06 am i entitled to gratity as i complete 5 years during my notice period

If by gratuity you mean severance pay I would say no.
When you resign it is voluntary and generally excludes you from receiving any special monetary consideration from the employer.
If the co-op has a personnel department check with them.
