Do you own the Outer Banks if not you have no right to tell anyone to leave. I live in North Carolina i do not tell anyone what to do. i havent the right.
I've lived in Virginia most of my life, and I have to agree the State is infested with bad drivers. But to answer your question; Virginians would rather go to the OBX because it is more quiet than Virginia's beaches. People like to be able to get away, and the OBX is good for that.
I would have gone home if I ran out of money to spend while surfing at Nags head- sorry but better waves than Virginia Beach!
Obviously, you don't understand economics.
You should be thankful for the tourism.

well, it is one of the nicest places on earth. tho i've noticed, and written in on-line reviews, that the local people are very unfriendly. who needs you? we certainly don't come to see you.
