At the end of the 1948 Arab–Israeli War, Jordan controlled the West Bank. But who claimed it at the beginning of the war? When Israel declared independence on May 14, 1948, what did it declare its borders to be?

Answer (1):

Chetak.

The Border was the Jordan River and as Jordan controlled the highlands to the East they were shelling the Israel Settlements and that ticked off the Israeli and they fought back and won the high ground as a buffer to protect the Jordan River Valley
