When is the "Bank Holiday in UK ", and the "national holiday in Holland" in April/May??As I live outside UK, I don't know when is the nearest bank holiday coming.....I'm travelling to Holland, so would like to avoid on its holiday so it would be less crowded. I mean, I like to travel on normal weekdays. |
May day bank holiday in the UK is always the first Monday of the month so in this this May 5th
NL doesn't have Mayday as a holiday but do have a national holiday on the 30th April to celebrate the Queen's birthday and then shops/banks etc are closed. The major towns are very busy with people "celebrating" and most towns have people selling goods on the pavement (somewhat akin to a car boot sale but on a larger scale). A lot of fun to see but not much fun if you need to travel for business. Also take care as some companies/transport routes close early the night before
The next UK bank hoilday is Monday 5th May dont know of national holiday in Holland
