Power bank is to store electric power in DC form like battery and use it when needed.
50000mah means it can store 5amps of power at one recharge.

Its an external rechargeable battery pack. It is designed to charge up your USB devices. At first I thought you mistype 50,000mah. But after an internet search, I found one on E-bay, Amazon and a few other sites.

Its a TYPO as well. Even thou few people type it as (mah) but it really should be type as mAh.
Is not like saying kbps (kilobits per second) vs kBps (kilobytes per second). So no matter how you type it (mAh), the A will always mean amps.

Guess that seller wishes people to be gullible enough to believe we have 50 amp UISB power packs available. By that, I mean strictly USB only, portable and fits in back pocket.

Even though 50,000mah should provide 50 amps for one hour in an ideal world. It won't last one hour, maybe 45 to 50 minutes at most if it was drained at 50 amps. And that if it does not explode either.

I am thinking it actually has a capacity of 5,000mAh which is good enough to recharge most smart phones 2 times when they are completely drained and turned off when recharging.

So beware of these portable power packs. And buy them only from recognized manufactures as well.

If you really need a portable power pack to recharge USB devices. I know that iSound has two versions. One is a 8,000mAh (8 amps) and the other is a 16,000mAh (16 amps). The only difference in size of the actual power pack is that the 16,000 contains two internal battery packs compared to the 8,000mAh model that only has one and it is a about 2/3 longer as well. It has 5 usb ports on the back with a max output of 2,500mAh (2.5 amps). Or one use one connector for a max of 2,100mAh (2.1 amps). The smaller packs cost about

And again, think about it.
a 50,000mAh battery pack for USB. This pack would have an estimate measure of 6 inches by 9 inches at an inch think.

it is an external power supply you charge up and take with you. like if your iphone dies you can charge it off of that. power banks usually use usb as a connection to the things they charge so dont expcect for it to power a wall plug in device such as a hair dryer. also 5000 mah is the charge capacity and how much energy the battery holds. mah stands for milliamp hours

Stores 50 Amps of power. Although Amperes aren't a unit of energy, so this statement is meaningless without Voltage.

So if your battery is 5 volts, then it is 50A*5V = 250 Watt Hours(Wh). A proper term for energy.
