Banks in Myrtle Beach, SC

They are very different.

The outer banks are quite remote. Especially the farther south you go. They have awesome beaches, are usually not crowded, except for a few spots, very laid back.

Myrtle beach is more about partying and entertainment. Yes, there is a beach too, but it's clearly sub-par compared to what you find elsewhere.

You have posed a very tough question to answer. The Outer Banks and Myrtle Beach are both great places to vacation and each offers it's own unique vacation experience. Here, on the Outer Banks, we have a variety of activities, great restaurants, and lots of unique shopping. While vacationing on the Outer Banks you can visit 4 Lighthouses, the Wright Brothers Museum where the first flight took place, Jockey's Ridge (the largest sand dune on the East Coast) for a hangliding adventure, the NC Aquarium on Roanoke Island, historic downtown Manteo, Pea Island Wildlife Refuge, and of course the Cape Hatteras National Seashore. We have something for everyone on the Outer Banks!

My name is Katie and I am a vacation specialist with Sun Realty on the Outer Banks. Please feel free to contact me at 800-334-4745 ext 250 or [email protected] to discuss more about the Outer Banks. I grew up on the Outer Banks and have vacationed in numerous places around the world. The Outer Banks is still my favorite place to be! I look forward to speaking with you.

Myrtle Beach is a vacation mecca if you're seeking a multitude of restaurants, resorts, and activities. The Outer Banks are much much quieter and for long stretches of beach, there's barely a soul to be found. Your choice.
