What do people think of the Canadian Carney getting the post of the Governor of the Bank of England?

Looks like a pretty innocuous appointment on the surface as he was thr head of the Canadian central bank. But, hang on. He is apparently an ex Goldman Sachs employee........as is the President of Italy and also the guy in charge in Greece I believe. Just a coincidence or is the New World Order really starting to...

The New World Order is a conspiracy hoax.
Canada's goal of becoming the dominant power of the 21st Century isn't.

Mark Carney was instrumental in ensuring that wasn't derailed by the financial crisis/recession:

As a result, Canada wasn't gutted economically and torn apart politically & societally like the US & Europe have been.
And these media headlines show what I mean by that:

'Canada: Richer than America and more powerful than Europe'
'Canada to lead G7 nations in average growth for next 50 years: OECD'
'Canada rises to Top Five in world economic freedom ranking as U.S. plummets to 18th'

Plus Canada's internationally rated as being/having:

-The world's best advanced economy.
-The world's soundest banking system.
-The world's most tolerant nation.
-The world's most multicultural society.
-The world leader in educational attainment.
-The highest quality of life in the G7.
-The safest G7 nation to live in.
-The G7's most fairly-administered judicial system.
-The G7 leader in providing equal opportunities for individuals.
-The only G7 nation fully-recovered from the US-caused global financial crisis & recession.
-The strongest fiscal position of all G7 nations.
-The best G7 nation for business over the next 5 years.

That's just the tip of the proverbial iceberg.
Nothing shadowy, secret or sinister about it, either.
And not all either:

"With respect to energy, the world of the 21st Century will be looking increasingly to Canada to supply it with critical energy resources. Notwithstanding any effort to develop alternative energies, there is a simple, undeniable truth: As long as there is oil available, the world will want it. And Canada has it. By some estimates, it potentially has more than any other country. Canada’s supply of oil is expected to outlast any other nation’s supply by decades, perhaps even centuries.

And it is not just oil. Canada is a vast bastion of other precious resources, which, as the century progresses, will become just as scarce and just as valuable. These include natural gas, coal, precious minerals, drinking water, arable land and even habitable space. Canada possesses unmatched reserves of all of these critical resources. As these resources become increasingly valuable this century, only Canada will be in possession of all of them. Accordingly, in this new century, Canada will find itself in a unique and powerful position. The world will want what Canada has and the world will not be able to get it anywhere else."

Unlike paranoid conspiracy theories, all of that is real and tangible.

A damning indictment of Merv the Swerves govenorship that his sidekick Paul Tucker never got the leg up, as for the NWO angle this story has been around since the post WWII creation of The Bilderberg Club, an organisation despised and treated with scepticism in some quarters simply because it holds closed meetings.

News Junkie

A few Brits woke up today to learn that there is a country called Canada, it is not part of the US, has it's own government, central bank, central bank governor and is part of the Commonwealth. Ignorance returns tomorrow.

?

"foreigner"? nothing new there then - it was a Scotsman who was the founder of the Bank of England after all. Scotland is a "foreign" country to a lot of English people going by the ignorant comments you get on here at times, most probably by people who have never set foot in Scotland.

David GH UK.

As he was the Governor of Her Majestys real of Canada that is fine with me.I was horriried when the TV called him a "foreigner" we are in strong hands, one thinks.
