What bank will accept anyone?

Besides Bank of America, what banks are there that are willing to give people a second chance with their banking experience? By that I mean, I have pretty bad banking history. Currently, I'm with Bank of America but I'm finding out they really suck. Like really really suck. I've been researching them on...

I live in Massachusetts, but I know that Umpqua Bank has been raising the bar for customer service. I actually bought a book about them and they are reinventing how a bank works. If there isn't and Umpqua Bank location near you, I always suggest a local savings bank or credit union.

Check some websites near you and you can always go to the FDIC website www.fdic.gov and find some information there.

Personally, I really do not like Bank of America either. However, BOA is very convenient and their ATMs are everywhere. Now, local banks are offering late and Sunday banking hours as well as ATM surcharge reimbursements - so you can go to the BOA ATM, pay $3 and get that refunded by your new community bank!

Depends on what baking services you are talking about. But if you are talking about overdrawn bank accounts, bounced checks and credit problems, good banks aren't going to be too interested in you as a customer. Better to fix your history with B of A and then go shopping for a new bank. They actually aren't the worst out there but there are better choices - if you have a good history.
