What are the issues thrown by Advani’s apologises to Sonia on Swiss bank account issue?

1. Are we to understand that the elite members of Task Force did not take care in compiling their critical infos .. citizens sought to be misinformed with their doubtful inputs, with malicious intent?

Not at all. The journalist Gurumoorthy or other members of the team would have least intended to be lax in the collection of details. You should recall how Guru questioned even his friend Arun Shourie (whose honesty he used to testify often) in 2003, when the latter was telecom minister under BJP rule, for imposing lesser penalty (Rs 1500 crores) on the Reliance Co., for selling cellular phones without valid licence (about 50 lakh subscribers enrolled by them), against his own calculation of revenue lost (Rs 10000 Cr) to Govt by means of license fee! So they are very straight forward people who would not mince words in matters dealt by them! So they would not have shared ill motivated info in their report!

2. Why the ‘expert’ members didn’t care to get the opinion of the dignitaries whom they ‘’exposed’’ in the report? Should they have not followed the basic journalistic ethics …?

This is indeed a point that the team would have to answer! They ought to have cared to get the response before levelling serious charges on the integrity of leaders in public life, whatever strong evidence they would have thought was available in the matter. A response ought to have been sought and incorporated in the report!

3. Was not the reputed family of this great democracy defamed by exposures, if the facts were false? Should not Soniaji have sued the journals …?

OK, this is obvious and the one most enigmatic point that evidently prompted her critics to go about blaming the family! But even now, the lady had only ‘’denied’’ the reports relating to her deposits in tax havens and not produced any evidence to rubbish the sources that had ‘’leaked’’ the sensitive infos relating to deposits of high profile dignitaries in the tax havens! The only evidence she could produce is perhaps a denial from the primary sources that 'leaked' the info or the banks themselves which she should have obtained to damn the critics! So the mystery shall linger!

4. Now that Advani apologises just based on the verbal denial of Soniaji, would he do the same with any other political leaders who come to adverse publicity also, withdrawing the ‘’findings’’ of media or Task Forces or whatever?

Good point. Obviously he won’t adopt this meek way in respect of any other persons – except perhaps the like of Yeddis in his own team! LOL!

5. Is it not mysterious, suggesting of some tacit ‘’agreement’’ between the two leaders, to protect each other. from exposures of sorts? …!

There is no mystery for us! It is obviously a ‘’deal’’ between two major parties to ‘’bury’’ the skulls found in their respective cup boards!

6. I think Advani appears just equal to learned Sibal in fooling the public… than how Advani deems it adequate for his whatever convenience !!

Yes, he is fooling and not ashamed to be a Sibal, since already a feather had been added to the buffoonery by an elite of Sibal’s ‘acumen’! His words would have confused his cadres equally, at a time when they are banking upon the exposures to have an edge over their powerful political adversary!

A grand drama is being enacted by a stalwart figure, with the mask of magnanimity and ‘’fair play’’, on an issue over which the whole country’s average citizen is hungry to know the ‘true’ facts and a team of experts have given a report.

We should ignore Advani and expect Soniaji to sue the BJP and come out clean herself, not hide apologetically under false niceties!

I might be wrong but I think that since CBI has moved to SC against Advani in Babri demolition case, it has helped congress to tame him.

Not may journalists write political analyses these days and it is rare to see journos call a spade a spade.

BJP and Adwani have shown that it is a party with difference. And Adwani has shown that he is different than many others.

These people are so much in a hurry to score points over Congress that they forget that they eventually end up in making a mockery of themselves. I sincerely think that this country is making too much of these 'patriots' and to me discussing these people's 'feats' in itself is criminal waste of nation's time.
