This may not be the right place to ask but if you want to pitch a tent and fish on the susquehanna river bank in PA would you get in trouble?

If it is an area where tenting is allowed, and you have the proper fishing license, there should be no problem. Just follow all fishing regulations and leave the campsite clean when leaving.
