There sure are "hidden gems" throughout all of the Outer Banks. It really depends on what you are looking to do. With a vacations on the Outer Banks you will never be bored unless however that is what you are looking to be by just laying on the beach and relaxing! In your question you never really mentioned what it was you were looking to do so an exact answer is a little tough to give. If you would like to "expand" upon what you enjoy to do it would be a lot easier to point you in a direction.
