The cashier at Dillards accidentally rang up my prom dress twice and it overdrafted my bank acc. WHAT DO I DO?

Contact Dillards.
Ask them if you can make an appointment to see the manager and meet with him.
Dillards is an exceptional store.
They will take care of the situation and probably give you any overdraft fee charges back.
But keep your head calm and level.
They may put you down if you tell them you didn't even have enough in your checking for a prom dress.
Just tell them that you wanted to do half and half because you wanted to pay half on your own.
Again, don't sound poor. Don't let them judge you for keeping low checking account balances.

Credit card refunds often take a couple days to post . Definitely talk to the bank about it-but there is a very good chance that the problem will automatically be corrected. Electronic transactions-especially credits and refunds, are slow to show up on online statements.

I have heard rumors that the banks and credit card companies do it that way so they can keep your money for an extra day or two.Possible! Of course, purchases show up immediately. ...Ironic ain't it?

I hope this is the case for you, if it is there won't be any overdraft charge!

Call your bank IMMEDIATELY! Tell them what happened and they should put a courtesy amount in its place. Then they will research the issue and straighten it out. Also call the store and tell them what happened and they can also do an internal investigation on it.
