You probably have a several weeks.

At most foreclosure sales, the bank purchases the home because there aren't any buyers with cash readily available.

Once the home is purchased, by the bank or another entity, they are able to begin eviction proceedings. Depending on the state you live in, and the laws, you might expect that it could take a month. However if the bank buys the home, they probably won't be as efficient so you may be there several more weeks.

You should attend the foreclosure auction to see who purchases the home. If if is a private individual, they may be buying it as an investment and may be willing to rent to you. If the bank purchases the home, you should begin looking for a new place.

Do as the others have recommended. Stay positive. Your kids will be able to see your confidence and the eviction will just seem like a regular move to them. It won't be devastating to them if you remain positive. Don't shelter them from the realities, let them know you losing the home, but you will find a new one. This is harder on your emotions than your kids. They will do find. I know because many years ago I went through the same circumstances.
