If you go in this direction, you wouldn't work directly with the spem bank, but with your physician.
Check with the Duke University Medical Center Fertility Services - one of the best in the country.

I'm sorry to hear of your loss. That's an interesting question! You don't say how long it has been since his passing. Children are wonderful - I have four - but don't have one for your own reasons (lonliness). Address the lonliness issue first and if you still want children after that is solved, go for it. Yes they screen applicants, but keep in mind that anyone can fill out a form. Use caution and do lots of research.
