Obama does not rule Israel, although he may think he should.
He has refused to honor previously made deals with Israel, so they are thumbing their nose at him.
As long as they live in the desert under the guns of the arabs, and he lives in the white house, he should not expect much cooperation.
It's easy to understand at this time. Mr HUSSEIN Obama has already announced a while ago he was withdrawing US support to Israel ("no blank check"). That's serves the palestinians purpose a lot and jeopardizes Israel's very survival. Now "asking" Israel to freeze settlements is openly taking Palestine's side again and is akin to blackmailing. Akin to asking Israel to let Palestinians kill their citizens and take over their land without fighting back. Israel does not to have to "comply" to anybody or any country that has the destruction of Israel and the killing of Jews as a fundamental religious dogma.
As for the territories, it's too bad for Palestine. They want war, they do war, they get war. They lose war after war and they lose territory. This, while being openly vocal about their intentions to destroy Israel and take over the land. If they had any chance at all, it would be Israel that would lose territory.

Whatever they want to do with the west bank is fine with me. If they would not have been attacked and then beat those that want them dead all of the west bank would belong to palestinians. False. Last thursday, Israel announced that it had frozen settlement activity. Right now, settlement activity is in the process of stopping completely. Do some research before you make yourself look foolish again.
