I closed a bank account when i opened my current account I ensured all my outgoings were transfered (january last year) the bank called me last week claiming that a direct deibit had not been transfered over I know all of the ones were they all have detials of the details being changed.I was told by my lawyer that...

About the bank question: You'll need to get your NEW bank to show that they in fact go all the transfers they should have. Also, if the direct debit was posted as a pending transaction at the OLD bank BEFORE you closed it, that transaction would still be considered part of the OLD account. The bank I USED to do business with was NOTORIOUS for posting "pending" transactions WAY too early, and it threw my account into overdraft SEVERAL times. I finally got fed up and closed that account, but they robbed me of nearly $200 in fees before that.

About the parcel tracking: I don't believe you can track that far back. If you have a tracking number, you may be able to, but you'd probably have to go directly to the post office for this. But, with the millions and millions of packages handled each year, I'd think they dump records that old after a year.
