If Wal-Mart ever opens a bank, this will probably be your only hope. Even most national banks still aren't in every state and definitely not in France. Sorry. :-( If you utilize your debit card/ATM card, direct deposit, online banking, and bank-by-mail (i.e. mail in deposits), do you really need to ever go into the branch?
