Is my bank trying to rip me off?

Share |

I got a new account and received my checks over a week later. One booklet was missing as some of the checks were not in sequential order. I am going to call them ASAP but has the same thing happened to you??

LISTEN, if you are missing ANY checks, you need to report them to your bank As Soon As Possible.

Did you get the checks from the bank, or did you get them online?

Either way, these scams could ruin you unless you are pro-active

ANYONE can sign your name to a check, who the heck is gonna know if it's your signature or not?

Printers that do bank checks do not conduct crimminal background checks on employees.

Please, better be safe than sorry.

It's most likely just a mistake by the bank. However, did you have to pay for these checks? If you did, you should ask for a refund or something off on your next bank statements or relating to your account(s).

This has not happened to me, actually I'm one of the very few who has had a problem with their bank.

most likely a printing error. with that said though, on some checks the reorder or "time to reorder" slip is on one of the middle set of checks. that slip often shows the ending check#, so it can be confusing because it makes the check booklets look out of order...just something to check.

Never happened to me or anyone else that I have heard of.

Odds are just a printing mistake.

they can only cash your checks if they have your signature on it. and if they do obtain your bank account number, they will need identification because their name does not match they name on the account. you're pretty much safe because of the many barriers they need to bypass.

I also would report it to the source. Too strange for me. Identity theft is too big of a concern!
