They are all in bed with investment banking. In fact, every President is literally threatened by the corporate establishment. The corporate world makes no secret of the fact that they pressure the President to be "corporate friendly". If the President does not do what the corporation wants, they will destroy him, either by having him assassinated, or by destroying his career.
Clinton and Obama both ran on the progressive platform. Both Presidents ran on workers rights and improving life for workers. After being shaken down by the corporate establishment, both Presidents have governed as moderate Republican conservatives.
