I bounced our bank account royally. Will this prevent my husband from becoming an officer in the Army?

My husband is at OCS for the Army at Fort Benning, GA. Recently, I screwed our bank account up royally. We had an unexpected bill come up for his OCS that we HAD to pay (a due that I didn't know about) but at the cost of bouncing a hotel stay. Well, rather than bouncing the one $300 charge, the bank paid that...

Relax, suck it up, and deal with it. things will be O.K. (by the way, you can blame the bank for some of this mess... don't you see that they chose to go with the method of collecting from you that would cause you the most damage and put the most in their pockets -- so don't hold yourself entirely to blame for this.) As for hubby, he is over reacting just a tad -- as long as a collection isn't put against you (screwing up your credit record) I somehow doubt this will torpedo his chance at making officer... not over a simple thing like this, ESPECIALLY IF YOU GET IT STRAIGHTENED OUT RIGHT AWAY. Get all the bounces and fines paid off a.s.a.p. -- borrow from family, whatever, but don't delay.

Try to get a chance to talk to his c.o. Maybe a quick payday loan and a quick deposit on monday would solve this problem. I have always heard that money problems reflect badly on an officer candidate. Handle this very carefully.
