You can open up an account right now--it's a great idea! You'll have to have a parent with you, however, and the account will be in the names of both you and the parent until you are 18. After you are 18, you can have an account without your parents being involved.

Still, go for it!

In most cases you need to be 18 to create your own account. Though you can have your parents open one for you if you really want one.

i don't think you have to be a certain age, your parents may have to get it for you, but it can be in your name, and you can have total access to your account. i think you at least have to have $5 to keep an account, but you have plenty!

My brother's friend has one and he's nine. I guess it depends on the bank, though. Just ask yours.
