Hi

We are getting married this year in late Sept so will be going on Honeymoon late Sept/early Oct. I am struggling for ideas. I am open to suggestion. We are looking for a really nice hotel but thats not too far away from abit of nightlife so we can go out of a night!

Thanks

Hawaiian Honeymoon (www.gohawaii.com)

It is a beautiful place and no worries about safety! Talk to a travel agent to get good deals...try a two Island hop...Oahu has a mix of fun and relaxation, a lot of things to do, more city and beach time. Maui is quiet and has more excursion type activities. This is a more expensive vacation, depending on what you do where you stay probably ($2,000-5,000)

Oahu, Waikiki Beach Information:
Best Hotel: West-In Mona Surf rider Hotel (http://www.moana-surfrider.com/)
This is the oldest and grandest hotel built on Waikiki, it was recently renovated in 2008. Please visit the site for pictures. Upon checking in we were greeted with hand made lais, fresh squeezed juice and a warm wet wash cloth. Free shuttle bus service anywhere you need to go and concierge serve provided. The night you get the hotel go to the concierge desk, tell her what you like to do and for free she will book activities for you and arrange for the shuttle to pick you up!

Best Restaurant:
The Hula Grill (http://www.hulagrillwaikiki.com)
Please try the BBQ it is to die for!!! The band is playing music and the windows are open so you can feel the cool breeze. No matter what time of year the weather is always perfect in Paradise!
Tell them you are on your honeymoon they will give you free dessert
Also, the waitress we had sent us a post card to tell us thank you for dining with us (food $10-$20 per person)

Also, there is a coffee shop right outside the hotel almost attached, drink the coffee and eat the apple pastry for me please, it is great!

Fun Activities:
Pearl Harbor Memorial
Swimming with Dolphins

Maui Information:

Best Hotel: Sheraton at Kannapali Beach
This is where you want to stay because it is a special place...it is the only hotel where you can watch the ancient ritual of the cliff divers. Everynight at sunset a guy jumps off the rocks and into the water. This hotel has great costumer service. If you drink- pleaes get the pineapple filled with pinacoloda, awesome!

Activities:
Road to Hanna- this is the best part of the vacation. It is crazy drive up a huge mountain to waterfalls. So pretty!!! (www.roadtohana.net)

If you dont do this might I suggest a cruise to the Carribean, prince cruise was great all inclusize...cost ($1,000-2,000) www.princess.com

what about renting a cabin in the Great Smoky Mountains? We did that one year, the fall is beautiful. They are very luxurious! Hot tub, Jacuzzi, fireplace etc. Not much nightlife, though, in them-thar-hills....

Vegas is very very cheap right now!. Even just a couple of days will be fun...

Have you considered Martha's Vineyard ?

That would be the "off season" so prices would be low but it would be beautiful with fall foliage and it's a great island.

We have personal photos in our website
