I live in downtown Atlanta. OF COURSE banks have been robbed, many many times.
Yes... 20 years ago in my old hometown. My wife at that time was robbed by a guy named the Kenny Rogers Bandit (he looked like him).. then he robbed 4 other banks in town... one of which had a young lady would become my wife later on! SO.. my exwife and my wife now (of over 18 years) were both robbed by the same guy.
One time a few years back, someone tried to hold-up a bank in the city. He ended up being holed up in the place and later arrested by police.
all it takes these days is a blank deposit slip with "dont ring any alarms, i have a gun, put all the cash in the bag" and 99% of the time they get away with the cash but are later caught at the local pub bragging about it after being showen their photos in the local paper or something like that and are caught within the week, in my area it almost seems that bank robberys are common because all it takes is that look on your face like you have a gun in your pocket and a pen and paper.

yes I live by DC we have bank robberies every day and most of them are robbed by politicians
