Events on bank holiday monday in Cornwall?I live in Cornwall & me and my family are stuck for ideas for what to do bank holiday monday (tomorrow). We have been to a lot of theme parks during the holiday and want to avoid this to do something different! Any ideas? It may be a bit late now for this year, but get hold of a free newspaper called the "North Cornwall Advertiser" (in your library?). There are lists in there of events every day. Emmets are everywhere now. The only place you may be able to lose them is to go in the middle of Bodmin Moor!
There is a Jazz Festival at Bude, http://www.budejazzfestival.co.uk , Bude Lifeboat Day and firework display on the Lower Wharf, art festivals at St Merryn, Tintagel and Bodmin, and a craft fayre at Egloshayle. Also at Wadebridge Football Club there is a car boot sale and Donkey Derby, starting at 3.00pm.
You could also look in tomorrow's Western Morning News. There is a section in there, with coming events for that and the following days.
How can you possibly get away from the Emmets. They are here in their thousands. Without them Cornwall would die. You need to have a look in your local paper which will give you a list of events in your area.
