Hatterasjack

Nope. Nothing at all. That's why most people come here. They come here to relax, take it easy and fish. Salvo is the southernmost of the 3 villages 'Salvo, Waves and Rodanthe'. There are a few restaurants and pizza places. You'll want to see the 'Nights In Rodanthe' house from the movie. It's located across from the Island Convenience Store as soon as you cross into Rodanthe. OK, now get out of Salvo. It's a great place to stay, but not much to do. Head down to the Cape and climb the Hatteras Lighthouse. Take a free ride on the ferry to Ocracoke Island. Go by Howard's Pub for sandwiches and drinks on the screen porch. It too is laid back and relaxed. You can head north to Nags Head, 25 miles, where there are lots of restaurants and places to shop, miniature golf and more fishing. Real exciting compared to Salvo. In the evening you could take in the Lost Colony outdoor drama in Manteo on Roanoke Island. The Outer Banks is no Myrtle Beach or Virginia Beach, but that's just why they come here. Hey relax and enjoy the ocean air of Salvo. After all, keep in mind you're about 15 miles off the mainland.
