I certainly think they should be investigated for criminal activity, negligence, fraud and deceptive accounting practices. If found guilty, they should be punished to the fullest extent of the law. Further, I think NONE of the bailout money should be used for spa weekends, golden parachutes, rewarding CEO's or stockholders. It was absolutely ridiculous that the CEO of WAMU who drove the company into the ground walked away with millions of dollars. These corporate raiders bankrupted their companies, took salaries several hundred times more than the lowest paid person in the organization and then turn to the government to be bailed out with taxpayer money while walking away with millions in their own pockets and in stocks? Something smells rotten in Denmark!
