Do UK banks cash different currencies into your account?

Share |

Or is there a charge for doing so?
(eg. you have cash in a different currency, can you still deposit it into your account?)

NEVER wrong SOME of the TIME

Oh, yes...money is money to the bank. But expect to pay a fee for it because it is not the normal currency the bank deals with(so cannot loan it out to another customer in the U.K.

That has been banking rules since the time when they traded in rocks and clams.

Many currencies can be changed but not all. The banks will not take coin though.

Yes and yes, assuming the currency is one they deal in. Major currencies? Yes. Timbuktu? Probably not.
