if someone asks how long a wire transfer takes bank to bank i always advise it can take up to 5 days!!!
if a wire is sent before 2:pm it funds that day. It must go through the federal reserve bank. I see this daily in the mortgage business

they need time to make sure about the Transaction. your info and the other person. what you need to do is do 4 days before the due date you need to transfer the money. That's all.
