Didn't Jefferson tell us NOT to allow private banks run our currency?

“If leaders are serious about creating new global responsibilities or governance, let them start by modernising multilateralism to empower the WTO, the IMF, and the World Bank Group to monitor national policies.” Robert Zoellick
The Fed control it now, opinions?

Banks in Jefferson, OH

Answer (10):

I do not like them, Sam I am.

Oh don't listen to what our founding fathers told us. They are from way long ago. We have evolved and know better than they did. Can't you tell by how great our country is going?

We have it all figured out.

he sure did..........

Thomas Jefferson said in 1802:

"I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered."

My reading of history convinces me that most bad government results from too much government.Thomas Jefferson

A government big enough to give you everything you want, is big enough to take away everything you have. Thomas Jefferson

The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not. Thomas Jefferson

It is incumbent on every generation to pay its own debts as it goes. A principle which if acted on would save one-half the wars of the world. Thomas Jefferson

these are only a few of some of the most intelligent quotes ive ever read. we should of had a revolution years ago. buy guns and get ready

The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.Thomas Jefferson

Great question. Yes, he did warn us of this.

"If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks will deprive The People of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered. The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to The People, to whom it properly belongs". --Thomas Jefferson

By the way, TJ is probably my favorite historical personality of all time. Great thinker, one of the founders of the greatest nation on Earth.

But yet somehow you are a "kook" if you mention the same things that JFK, Thomas Jefferson, Eisenhower, and Wilson were concerned about.

Jeezus I hate the sheeple.

3rd eye from the son

The Zionist are just sneaky bastards that somehow managed to pay off a few congressmen who passed the Federal Reserve Act when congress was on their Xmas break, and nobody said anything. Woodrow Wilson just went along, and then years later regretted not doing anything. But you can always let sh!t happen and then recount it later, as long as the sh!t happened.

A Culpeper Minuteman

Yes he did. But history got lost/became irrelevant during the Progressive Era.

FYI: Modern Liberalism is a descendant of the Progressives. And guess where Progressivism came from? The same architects of Communism and Fascism!
LOL, no kidding!

tabbi8407

well.... the federal reserve is NOW in control of our money, has been for about a hundred years.... hence why the value of our dollar has decreased by about 95% in less than a hundred years.......
so what the diff between fed res? and the nwo??? not much.... just a different name, same people and same rich familys...

Dude

Well, the federal reserve is a private corporation. They actually "loan" us our money. So, for every dollar you get, it isn't really a dollar. I still can't get over the fact that our government doesn't print out its own damn money.

Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ Rikkie.

Those guys and Robert Zoelick are nuts, even having Tim Geithener as secretary of treasury puts me on edge (ex federal reserve presidency)

Nan

jackson, lincoln and even JFK had concerns about it

JFK started a silver backed currency in 1963
