Bosh is can opt out the last year of his contract, in the summer of 2010. He appears very likely to opt-out of this contract, and seek some long-term deal with some other team, a deal the Clippers would not be likely to match. in addition I'm not sure Chris Bosh would want to be on the Clippers, like Elton Brand did not, due to the fact that it is not the best team to play for in the NBA. Although the Clippers would be fun with Chris Bosh, this trade is very risky for the Clippers. This trade makes sense for Toronto to get a very good player in Blake Griffith or Ricky Rubio, for Chris Bosh a player they are likely to lose.

Blake Griffin is unproven and has no range...Bosh is a proven all-star. I rather pay a proven player millions than an unproven rookie
Their not going to win w/ Kaman and Ricky Davis anyway so, why not try w/ Bosh.
Bosh and Baron Davis is a nice combo!
Chris Bosh would be much, much better than Blake Griffin, Ricky Rubio, or Hasheem Thabeet.
The Clippers would be getting screwed in that trade. No way in hell does it happen.
