You will need to show your ID. You can cash it at citibank , however, since you don't have an account with them , they may carhge you a tiny fee for using them for cashing the check.
To avoid even bothering to wait in line at the bank, ENDORSE the back of the check (this means your signature), GIVE the check to one of your parents for them to deposit into their bank account at an ATM (doesn't matter what bank they have acct at), and THEY PAY you $10.
p.s. Your never too young to open a bank account. Pls open a savings acct as soon as you can. You can put in xmas and birthday money in it until you get a job. A savings acct earns interest so the longer you have it in there, the more your money works for you....just don't touch it unless you really need it.
Go to citi bank approach the teller line and tell them you need to cash a check. You will need an ID, they will cash the check for you (I hope there is not a fee) and you will be $10 richer, (consider saving it)
i highly doubt that the check is legitimate, I postulate that it is a "sample" check that the company for whom you do the "surveys" is less than ethical and is in fact taking advantage of your naivete.
