Bank of Ireland Sterling can generally be paid into any Sterling bank account. Big shops in England (Tesco, Asda etc) generally take them. Smaller shops generally don't.

Edit: These are sterling notes issued by Bank of Ireland in Northern Ireland. They are no old Irish pounds.

Are you talking about a 100 Irish pound banknote issued by the Republic of Ireland?

This is no legal tender since the invention of the €uro in 2002. However it can be exchanged to €uro [€126.97] at the main office of the Central Bank of Ireland on Dame Street in Dublin.

It hasn't been legal tender since 2002. You're out of luck.
