That's their brilliant consideration Oh, what geniuses they are The wisdom these banks have... amazing wisdom So... their solution: Just to see if this makes sense to myself: Force everyone to get one of their JUNKY credit card. Almost no travel insurance, rental covererage, and horrible customer...

You can just usa any card you like and cut up your debit card. At the end of the month you will have to pay the credit card no matter who issued it.
So if you do not use the debit card you will not be charged a fee. It is not anything different.
