Banks in Dallas, OR

I live in Terrell (about 30 minutes outside of Dallas and I had a lot of bad checking accounts and these banks gave me one. I'm not sure why but some of them bypass the credit report check when you do the checking application online.

First Convenience Bank- http://www.1stcb.com/en/
They have an account actually called Second Chance Checking, they don't check anything. They are inside a lot of walmarts and they also give you a $600 overdraft privilige when you have direct deposit, it will let you take cash out of the ATM even if your balance is negative...I use them a lot.

Compass Bank - http://www.bbvacompass.com/index.html . Apply Online

Bank of America- Apply online and they will bypass the credit check as long as you have never screwed them over before.

Wells Fargo- Call the number on their website and tell them you want to open an Opportunity Checking Account. (It is a second chance checking but you have to call to open it or go to a branch)

----Hope that helps my Chex system report is all screwed up and they gave me accounts!

Quick Answers

The few mentions I could find on the web that *weren't* spam sites (and this one was from 2000):

First Convenience Bank has branch locations in most Wal-Marts and Albertsons and does not use ChexSystems. We just received a tip stating that their parent company, First National Bank of Texas was also not using ChexSystems when verifying new accounts. Let us know if this is a valid tip.

Chase Bank of Texas has branch locations throughout the state and some of these locations verify new accounts using TeleCheck instead of ChexSystems. Reportedly, even at the branches which use ChexSystems, some with a negative in their account have been able to open accounts if they provide a letter from the bank which reported them stating that all items owed have been paid.

Compass Bank verifies new accounts using TeleCheck instead of ChexSystems.
