Have you looked into getting a pod. My friend recently moved from N.C. to Texas and this worked really well. They deliver the pod to your home. You pack all your stuff in it, lock the pod and they then pick it up load it on to a a truck and you get it within a week. You could then put your valuables/breakables in your car and drive. It worked out really well for my friend and saved him a lot of money/headache.
