I'm pretty sure some people were guilty of crime, but the operation did go against much of what we would like to expect from British justice. It does appear that many innocent people have been given a very raw deal.
This BS that you have to prove how you come to possess cash or valuables above £1000 is a joke. It does fly in the face of the presumption of innocence. Perhaps that's fine, if it is found in conjunction with other criminal acts, but it seems that people have been hammered for having safe deposit boxes and expected to prove how they came by stuff, that pre-dates the POCA law.

DON'T believe anything you read in the comics (aka newspapers) .. ALWAYS look 'behind the headlines' .. ask yourself "what is the writer trying to achieve ?" and "what is the 'hidden agenda' being pushed here?'

As a 'rule of thumb', just assume ANYTHING you read in a newspaper is a distortion, exaggeration or an outright lie and you can't go too far wrong ..
This is very interesting. I am from the US. I can see this happening here very soon, if its not happening already. Business as usual. The rich will get richer and poor will continue to be slaves. The NWO is in full effect. Revolutions and uprisings will be more common around the world. Govts will resort to any means necessary to hold onto to power. As you question demostrates. But its unavoidable, economies will collapse and a LOT of people will take up arms. Better make sure you know what side you`re on.
The advertised raid was a scam by the police to flush thieves out, if they were arrested on "Trumped up charges" then no doubt the cases will be overturned on appeal.
